
Institutional Learning Coordinator
The OEC:
The Organisation of Educational Cooperation (OEC) is an international intergovernmental organisation, founded in January 2020 by countries from across the Global South, to “contribute to the equitable, just, and prosperous social transformation of societies by promoting balanced and inclusive education, in order to attain the fundamental rights to liberty, justice, dignity, sustainability, social cohesion, and material and immaterial security for the peoples of the world”.
Role Summary:
Under the overall authority of the Secretary General, and the guidance of the of the Special Advisor to the Secretary-General for Institutional Learning and Knowledge Management, the Institutional Learning Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and taking the lead in organizing courses for new and existing staff. S/he ensures that there are relevant course materials in hard copy and online for course participants and organizes the training venue and coordinates with instructors. The incumbent works with all departments in selecting the relevant staff and reports back to the individual departments the performance of the staff during the training. In consultation with the Special Advisor, the Learning Coordinator prepares an award recognition to the course participants. The Learning Coordinator works with Human Resources to conduct a skills gap analysis of OEC staff. She liaises with and supports the OEC Institute for training programmes organised for government officials.
Duties:
– Take the lead in implementing the IL strategy under the guidance of the Special Advisor;
– Plan, coordinate and take the lead in organizing courses for new and existing staff;
– Identifies, acquires, stores and distributes course materials to course participants;
– Coordinates with departments on the training courses available and help with the identification of the right staff for the course;
– Develops a skills gap analysis of the staff and provide a report whenever required;
– Prepares an award for the course participants, signed by the Secretary General;
– Works with the OEC Institute to organize courses for government employees;
– Identifies relevant online courses for staff and other participants.

– Ability to be discreet and to compartimentalise confidential information;
– Ability to work in an autonomous manner;
– Ability to withstand and work effectively within stressful situations.
Qualifications:
– At least 8 years of work experience in organizing training programmes in national or international organizations.
– Advanced university degrees in social sciences or other related areas.
– Accredited training in education, social psychology and adult training is a distinct advantage.
Language Requirements:
Candidate must be fluent in English. An additional knowledge of one or more other official languages (French, Arabic, Spanish) is a distinct advantage.
