Background

Levante are seeking to recruit a consultant for a potential research study in Syria, focussing on Mental Health. The consultant will join a small, specialised team with an established track record in the region working in Syria on health and mental health project. The project has a focus on capacity building and mapping out of MHPSS services and networks.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical aspects (in relation to MHPSS) in the assessment of the existing capacities of service providers in Northern Syria in collaboration with the Levante team
  • Assist with research design, tool development, analysis and reporting

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • Master’s degree in relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting scoping studies using mixed method approaches
  • Demonstrated experience working on MHPSS projects •
  • Experience working in the MENA region, including in refugee and migrant settings

Preferred

  • Experience using Discrete Choice Experiment (DCE) methodology
  • Fluency in Arabic

**The consultant must be available for 10-20 working days from January to April 2022.
