Request for Proposals: Strategic Planning Consultant At Last Mile Health

The Role

Last Mile Health seeks consultancy support from an individual or firm with significant experience designing, implementing, and facilitating the development of organizational strategic plans.

Project Details

  • Commitment – Anticipating a 4-month engagement from March 15, 2022 to July 15, 2022, with timeline variable depending on consultant’s work plan
  • Location – US, Eastern Time Zone preferred
  • Remuneration – Please include your overall proposal cost in USD within your application materials, as well as expectations for payment timing

What You’ll Do

Working in close collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Program Officer, Chief of Staff, and other leadership, the consultant will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop a concise workplan with clear timelines, activities, and deliverables to guide the strategic planning process
  • Facilitate an assessment of the current state of the organization against current Within Reach Strategy and identify key questions that need to be addressed to determine the organization’s future direction
  • Work closely with organizational leadership to identify and evaluate strategic options for the next strategy
  • Develop a plan for implementation with recommendations and key decision points
  • Process should be inclusive and engage a diverse set of stakeholders inside and outside the organization (e.g., through focus groups, workshops, interviews)

Note: This project will be managed by LMH’s Chief of Staff, with substantial guidance and input from the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Program Officer, as well as additional support from an advisory council comprised of senior leadership and representation from across the organization.

What You’ll Bring

Individuals and firms with experience designing, implementing and facilitating the development of strategic planning processes for nonprofit organizations, specifically in the global health sector, are encouraged to submit a proposal.

Application Process

Proposals should include at a minimum:

  • Overview of scope of work
  • Consultant profiles
  • Description or examples of similar projects completed by the consultant
  • 2-3 client references who can speak to your relevant experience
  • Budget for project including pricing in USD
  • Time-bound work plan

Proposals should be no more than 5 pages in length and should be submitted as a single PDF inclusive of all supporting documents.
